The most satisfying thing in the world

Has got to be emptying out the kitchen drawers, attacking with vacuum and Cillit Bang (how did we ever clean before?) and polishing tarnished antique silverwear. The elbow grease, the satisfying blackening of hands, the shine and glisten.

Now to make room for my new cutlery set. Out with plastic handles and mis-matched forks. In with bone handles and sugar tongs.

Now all I need is a dinner party. Anyone want to come?
